New Zealand swimmer Dean Kent made a clean sweep of the 400m individual medley at the World Cup short-course series by winning his third consecutive race over the distance.
He lowered his New Zealand record remarkably from 4min 09.00sec in Stockholm three days ago to 4min 06.06sec today in Berlin.
Kent, who won the Paris and Stockholm legs of the series over the last week, took the gold medal ahead of Canadian Brian Johns, who clocked 4min 08.36sec for second.
Kent finished the three-meet series with three gold, a silver (200m individual medley in Paris) and a bronze (200m individual medal in Stockholm behind Australian star Ian Thorpe).
Alison Fitch missed out on a medal today, finishing fourth in the 200m freestyle final in 1min 57.36.
Helen Norfolk was seventh in the 200m individual medley final after winning a bronze medal over 400m in Stockholm.
