A collection of the world's top surfers have shown their support to the people of Christchurch and New Zealand's Muslim community.
Ahead of the Sydney Surf Pro, a group of the surfers paddled out into the waves at Manly Beach, sitting beyond the break to join together for a moment of silence before laying flowers in the sea.
It wasn't the only instance of surfers paying their respects, with the West Auckland Christian surfers community holding a paddle out at Piha Beach on Tuesday night.
On 100 surfers paddled out beyond the break at Piha to pay their respects to those affected by the tragedy, while they also gathered donations which would be sent to those
fronting relief efforts in the Garden City.
