Raglan's Morehu Roberts has replaced Jay Quinn in the New Zealand team for the surfing competition against a top international line-up at Piha Beach on Saturday.
Quinn injured his knee while competing in Europe.
Roberts, 17, returns to New Zealand from California today. He finished seventh in the 2005 ISA Quiksilver world junior championships.
