Surfing: Quinn out of world event

Gisborne surfer Maz Quinn's run at the Quicksliver Pro world tour event in France ended yesterday.

Quinn, who knocked out world No 4 Trent Munro of Australia in the second round, was beaten in the third round by Hawaiian star Andy Irons.

Quinn, who competes on the second tier tour, got into the French event on a wildcard.
