Surfing: Mason last Kiwi standing

Gisborne's Airini Mason is the sole New Zealander left in the qualifying rounds of the junior world surfing championships at Maresias in Brazil.

Mason, who surfed against teammate Mischa Davis yesterday, was second in her heat behind talented Frenchwoman Annabel Talouam to join 11 others who have qualified in the under-18 girls division.
