The 12th annual Oxbow World Longboard Championships were postponed again this morning due to stormy conditions.
Round one of the prestigious US$50,000 ($82,617) contest is now expected to start tomorrow, following a swell increase and change of wind direction.
There were strong onshore northwest winds and a messy 0.6m surf at Raglan, on the North Island's west coast, this morning.
Contest director Daniel Kereopa said winds were predicted to swing to the south later today, creating more ideal wave faces as the new swell arrived.
A decision on the day's schedule would be made tomorrow at 7am.
