Raglan's Daniel Kereopa won the first of seven events on the Pro Longboard surfing series at Papamoa Beach in the Bay of Plenty yesterday. The 2007 tour champion opened the final with an 8.0 point ride.
He then scored 7.67 to outclass the other finalists. Christchurch's Daisy Thomas won her first tour event in the women's final.
