Surfing: Hareb exits Roxy Pro meet

New Zealand's Paige Hareb exited the Roxy Pro surfing competition on the Gold Coast yesterday after an early infraction in her heat proved disastrous against Australian Rebecca Woods.

Hareb illegally dropped in on Woods on the first wave of their third round heat at Snapper Rocks.

Defending champion Joel Parkinson, world champion Mick Fanning and nine times world champion Kelly Slater were eliminated.
