Kiwi Ricardo Christie has posted another impressive result in the World Surf League.
He's upset South African world number nine Jordy Smith in the second round of the Rio Pro tournament.
Christie's combined best score of 13.27 was enough to see off Smith's effort of 12.03.
His next challenge will be a third round match-up against world number one Adriano de Souza of Brazil.
