Strong and gusty winds forced the cancellation of the penultimate day of sailing at the RS:X boardsailing world championships in Spain, leaving New Zealand's JP Tobin in third place.
Gusts up to 50 knots made it an easy decision for race organisers to make - some sailors took part in a $1000 winner-take-all speed contest to pass the time - and strong winds are forecast for the medal races, scheduled to take place overnight (NZT).
The 35-year-old Tobin is well placed to pick up a medal after a consistent series of results.
