Unseeded New Zealander Jaclyn Hawkes has caused an upset in the first round of the British Squash Open.
Hawkes has beaten 8th seed Kasey Brown in five games, saving two match points, to win 13-11 in the fifth.
Brown upset world number one Nicol David in the US Open and
led Australia to the world team title late last year.
Kiwi Joelle King has also advanced to the second round, with a far more straight forward 11-6, 11-7, 11-4 win over a French opponent.
