Top seeds Carol Owens and India's Ritwik Bhattacharya won their respective titles at the Royal Oak Open squash tournament in Auckland today.
World No 1 Owens was far too good for fellow New Zealander Lara Petera, beating the second seed 9-0 9-1 9-2 in the women's final.
Owens said she was thrilled with her performance, after being sidelined in recent weeks with a back injury.
She said it was a great start to her preparations for October's British Open.
World No 91 Bhattacharya was also a convincing winner in the men's final, beating unseeded New Zealander Kashif Shuja 15-12 15-13 15-13.
It was his second tournament win in two weeks, earning him valuable world ranking points.
The players will now head to Christchurch for the South Island Championships which start on Thursday.
