New Zealand's Shelley Kitchen produced a huge upset to advance to the quarterfinals at the Sheika Al Saad Kuwait Open squash tournament in Kuwait.
Kitchen, who need to qualify for the Wispa (Women's International Squash Players' Association) event, eliminated the third seeded Australian Rachel Grinham in five games yesterday.
She dropped the first game 7-9 but bounced back to take the next two 9-2 9-5.
Grinham reclaimed the initiative to win the fourth 9-4 before New Zealand No 1 Kitchen closed out the match 9-7 in the fifth.
She next plays English fifth seed Vicky Botwright in the last eight.
