New Zealander Martin Knight has survived a two-hour, five-set battle in qualifying to earn a place in the main draw of the Manitoba Squash Open in Canada.
Knight, 22, beat Australian world No 98 Paul Davis 8-11 11-5 10-11 11-9 11-7 to progress to the main draw and will play French fourth seed Jean-Michel Arcucci in the opening round.
Fellow New Zealander Campbell Grayson missed out on joining him in the main draw, losing 8-11 11-3 11-5 8-11 11-9 to England's Laurence Delasaux.
