New Zealand bowed out at the quarterfinal stage of the women's world teams squash championships in Canada today.
The sixth seeded New Zealanders lost 3-0 to top seed England.
New Zealand No 1 Shelley Kitchen won her opening game against world No 7 Tania Bailey, but eventually succumbed 6-9 9-7 9-4 9-2.
New Zealand No 2 Jaclyn Hawkes was then beaten 9-2 9-4 9-3 by world No 5 Vicky Botwright, before sixth-ranked Jenny Duncalf put Louise Crome to the sword in the battle of the number threes, winning the best of two dead rubber 9-0 9-0.
New Zealand now face Ireland in the playoffs for fifth to eighth place tomorrow.
