Seeded 13th, Kitchen lost her second round match against Australian fourth seed, Natalie Grinham, going down 9-4 9-1 9-4 in 26 minutes.
Grinham beat New Zealand's Jaclyn Hawkes 9-0 9-1 9-4 in yesterday's round.
