Emerging squash star Joelle King has failed to continue her giant-killing run at the Greenwich Open in New York, losing the final to fourth seed Kasey Brown this morning (NZT).
The Cambridge 22-year-old lost 7-11, 2-11, 4-11 to the Australian after a earlier beating top seed Rachael Grinham and world junior champion Amanda Sobhy en route to the final.
Despite the defeat, King, ranked 18th in the world guaranteed herself a healthy payday in with the tournament worth $US37,000 ($NZ48,700).
