New Zealand's best squash player, Joelle King, will be the hottest of favourites to defend her title at the national squash championships in Auckland this weekend.
The world No 5 is aiming for a fourth straight New Zealand title. Three other players in the world's top 50 are also in the draw - second seed Kylie Lindsay (No 38), Amanda Landers-Murphy (39) and Megan Craig (46).
Campbell Grayson is top seed in the mens draw and is seeded to play Martin Knight in the final.
Third seed Paul Coll, having made the semifinals of the recent Tasmanian Open is also a good chance, while the fourth seed is Kashif Shuja.
The championships start at the Royal Oak club in Auckland on Friday.
