A nationwide squash challenge involving the world's two top women players is likely to take place in late November or early December.
GR Squash Marketing's Graeme Randolph, of Palmerston North, would promote the series as a private venture involving world No 1 Leilani Joyce and No 2 Carol Owens. He is speaking to a potential backer, but is looking for sponsorship to get the series of five to seven matches off the ground.
He said the two women were keen to take part and the matches would not be exhibitions but genuine contests, with prizemoney at stake.
