Commonwealth Games gold medallists Jaclyn Hawkes and Joelle King could be set for a showdown at the Atwater Cup women's squash tournament in Canada.
Hawkes and King who won the doubles gold at last year's New Delhi games, scored quarterfinal wins.
Second seeded Hawkes battled to beat American teenager Amanda Sobhy, the reigning junior world champion 11-3 12-10 9-11 11-6. Third seeded King also dropped her third game, before overcoming Mexican veteran Samantha Teran 11-7 12-10 6-11 12-10.
Hawkes will now play Dutch top seed Vanessa Atkinson for a place in the title decider, while King is up against former world number two Natalie Grinham from Australia.
At Brisbane, Martin Knight is through to the final of the Hibiscus Gardens Open in Brisbane after a 12-10 11-4 11-7 win over Hong Kong qualifier Leo Au in the quarterfinals and a 8-11 14-12 11-8 11-5 win over South Australian Mike Corren in tonight's semifinals.
The second seeded New Zealander will play the top seed, South African Stephen Coppinger, in tomorrow's final.
