Australia's Rachael Grinham yesterday moved into her 14th successive month as the women's world No 1 squash player, making her one of the game's top five women.
The first women's world rankings were published in April 1983, when Australian Vicky Cardwell ruled the game and headed the maiden list.
Since then, nine more players have topped the rankings, with Grinham in fifth place behind longest-serving world No 1s Cassie Jackman, of England (fourth), Australian Sarah Fitz-Gerald (third), Australian Michelle Martin (second) and runaway top-placed New Zealander Dame Susan Devoy.
Devoy amassed a total of 105 months as the world's No 1 from April 1984 to February 1993.
