Sonny Bill Williams will likely return to Toulon on a short term contract after the Olympics, according to French newspaper sources.
L'Equipe has reported that Williams is seeking the deal, allowing him to head back to New Zealand in time for All Black consideration against the British and Irish Lions in June next year.
Williams manager Khoder Nasser met with Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal, and the Montpellier club is also an option.
Boudjellal said: "I have no idea whether he is going to come or not and I can only confirm that the world champion has lots of choices.
"If it is just about the money, then he won't be coming to Toulon.
