Sommet Sports will commence a new satellite service on Freeview and launch a channel on Sky Television next month.
In addition to their current UHF broadcast, satellite broadcast on both Sky and Freeview will give the recently launched television company similar coverage to that of every major New Zealand TV station.
Sommet Sports will take up channel 069 on Sky from April 14.
"With our extension into satellite, and with great support from the people at Sky, we will be able to deliver our channel free-to-air across all platforms where Kiwis like to watch their sport," said Andrew Reeves, director of Sommet Sports.
Sommet Sports has rights to the German football league, Chelsea TV, UEFA Europa League and MotoGP.
