The White Sox have lost 1-0 to Cuba in their second game of section play at the softball world championships in Haarlem today.
Offensively the Sox had their chances, especially in the fourth innings when Danica Ferriso hit safely to left field, Lara Andrews doubled to move them both to second and third base and Katrina Nukunuku walked to load the bases with none down.
But Cuba made two pitching changes within the same innings that paid dividends for them as the White Sox were unable to score a run to level it up.
After opening with a 5-1 win over Russia yesterday, the White Sox meet the highly-fancied Canadians tomorrow.
