The New Zealand women's softball team made a belated return to form at the Australian grand prix series yesterday, saving face with successive wins in Sydney.
Out of contention after four consecutive losses, the White Sox regained some pride ahead of this week's international series against Australia and Japan with wins over the Victorian Institute of Sport and an Australian under-19 Rising Stars side.
The White Sox beat the Rising Stars 4-2 before immediately heading back to the diamond to beat Victoria 7-3.
After scoring just two runs in their first four outings, the batting line-up finally found the sweet spot yesterday.
