New Zealand's most decorated softballer, Mark Sorenson, will be admitted to the United States Hall of Fame by the Softball Congress at the annual championships in Midland, Michigan.
Midland was the site of Sorenson's international debut when the Black Sox won the world title in 1984, when he was only 16.
He was unavailable in 1996 when the team won the first of three consecutive titles but was back as captain for the 2000 and 2004 world championship wins.
