The Black Sox continued their winning run at the softball world championship's in Christchurch tonight downing the Philippines 7-0.
New Zealand rattled up their runs in five innings and invoked the mercy rule once again.
The opening game against Samoa has been the Black Sox only seven innings game of the tournament.
While the Black Sox were convincing victors tonight it took them two inning before scoring off the Philippines pitcher Rogello Rojasi.
Lead off Nathan Nukunuku finally started the ball rolling with a single to right field and advanced to two on a wild throw.
Wellington's Stacy McLean was up next and he hit big to the left field fence for a triple to score Nukunuku.
The scoring was rounded up in the inning when McLean scored on single to left field from captain Jarrad Martin.
In the bottom of the fourth inning the Black Sox went into overdrive.
Lead off Taifau Matai picked up a single to centre field and was advanced by Patrick Shannon who followed up with single of his own.
Next up Clayton Willocks did his job by putting down a good sacrifice bunt to move the runners into the scoring position.
The roll did not stop there with Dion Nukunuku hitting past shortstop to score Gabriel.
McLean was next to the plate and he picked up his second hit of the game with a double that moved Nukunuku to three.
Martin followed up being caught out off a foul ball and Nukunuku scored on the throw.
The final run of the game came when Stacy McLean scored on a clean drive by Thomas Makea.
