White Sox infielder Lisa Kersten has confirmed her retirement from international softball.
Kersten, 29, revealed yesterday that she had pulled out of the White Sox training squad some time ago, ending the possibility of going to her third women's world series in Beijing next year and the chance to automatically qualify for the 2008 Olympics there.
She will still play club and representative softball when work allows.
