New Zealand suffered their second defeat at the junior women's softball world championships in the Netherlands this morning (NZ time), crashing 0-7 to Venezuela.
The Junior White Sox, who were pipped 5-4 by China in their opening match on Friday, were never in contention and now face a stiff task to qualify in the top half of their eight-team pool.
Their next game is scheduled for Sunday morning is against unbeaten hosts the Netherlands.
