The Junior Black Sox completed an ideal build-up for the junior men's world championships with a tournament victory in Radom, St Louis, today.
They claimed the Terry Derring Memorial title with two victories over local sides, including an 8-0 win in their semifinal.
In the final they beat Pete's Blues 3-1.
The world championships start on Saturday, with New Zealand facing Argentina in the first match at Prince Edward Island, Canada.
