The Junior Black Sox have picked up their fourth victory at the junior men's world softball championships this morning (NZ time) with a 5-0 win over Denmark on Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Against Denmark the Junior Black Sox were always in control after scoring two runs in the second inning through Tyson Byrne and Daniel Lamb-Hunt.
New Zealand went further ahead in the fifth inning with three more runs -- one from Rongo Rapaea, while Byrne and Lamb-Hunt scored again.
Southland pitcher Aidan Cocker backed up the strong batting performance from the mound taking 14 strikeouts from 23 batters, while giving up just one hit and one walk.
New Zealand have been in strong batting form through the early stages of the tournament having accumulated 28 runs in just four games.
They are one of just three unbeaten teams in the tournament along with two times defending champions Australia and Japan.
Next on the agenda for the Junior Black Sox is Mexico, tomorrow at 6am (NZ time).
