Softball: Black Sox legend dies

The man who managed the Black Sox softballers to world championship victories has died.

Don Freeman was a former president of the North Harbour Softball Association and managed the Black Sox from 1993-96.

As a player Freeman took to the diamonds in Auckland before crossing the Harbour Bridge in 1975 to link up with Northcote.
