New Zealand continued their unbeaten run at the world softball championships in Saskatoon, Canada, with a four-inning 16-0 victory over Denmark today (NZT).
Donny Hale hit a grand slam home run, bringing in loaded bases, as the Black Sox scored 11 runs in their first turn at bat. Others to notch up home runs were Travis Wilson and vice captain Thomas Makea.
Pitcher Jeremy Manley kept the Danes scoreless, with no recurrence of earlier problems when he was called for illegal pitching in New Zealand's 14-0 win over Great Britain.
The game was halted under the mercy rule in the fourth inning.
