The New Zealand women's team were shown little respite when losing 7-1 to Australia in their latest match at the World Series softball tournament in Canada.
Australia opened the scoring in the first innings, to which New Zealand replied with a run in the second. That was it for the White Sox, as Australia added to their tally with runs in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth innings.
It was a tough day for New Zealand, who had to play the top two seeds in their pool.
They had suffered a 2-1 loss to Japan earlier in the day. They meet Venezuela today.
