ROME - Four Liverpool fans were stabbed in the leg before and after the Champions League soccer game between the English club and AS Roma in Rome today.
The Italian news agency ANSA said the injuries were slight and that no other clashes had been reported after the match, which ended in a 0-0 draw.
Three fans were stabbed in the leg before the game and were treated on the spot, while another supporter was attacked in the city centre after the match and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
Around 1000 Liverpool fans made the trip to Italy for the group B game.
