Three Wanaka area skifields will share the hosting of the world junior snowboard and freestyle championships from August 19-31.
It is the first time an FIS world champs will be held in New Zealand, and the first time the two disciplines share the same world championship stage.
Snow Park will host the slopestyle competitions for skiers and snowboarders; Treble Cone will be the venue for the snowboard parallel slalom and giant slalom and Cardrona will stage the ski and snowboard halfpipe, ski- and snowboard-cross and snowboard big air competitions.
