KEY POINTS:
Cardrona snowboarder Juliane Bray finished fourth in the women's world superpipe championship at Park City, Utah, at the weekend. Her New Zealand Olympic teammate Mitchell Brown of Mt Maunganui finished seventh in the men's final. The superpipe is ranked second behind the world championships and Bray was last among the 10 invited skiers after the first run. She improved to sixth after her second run but the Wanaka snowboarder saved her best until last with a superb 73.3 points, the second-best in the final round, to climb to fourth.
In-form Australian Torah Bright, the X Games champion, defended her title to win the women's final.
Brown opened with a strong 81-point effort.
