Olympic gold medalist skier Lindsey Vonn will be at the New Zealand Winter Games next month, but it is not yet known whether she will compete.
Vonn, who won gold at the Vancouver Winter Olympics in the downhill event, is often regarded as the face of skiing.
The Winter Games run from August 25 to September 10, just five months before the next Winter Olympics in South Korea.
Winter Games CEO Arthur Klap told the Radio Sport Breakfast that Vonn will be making the trip to New Zealand.
"She will be here," Klap said. "She could well be competing in the dual slalom on the opening night, but that's a call that's hers and will be made at the last minute, depending how her training's going. But she's certainly going to be here.
