Hamilton skier Sarah Jarvis put in two solid runs to claim second place in the women's slalom at the Southern Cup series near Queenstown today. Jarvis excelled in a 42-strong field at Coronet Peak to finish in a combined time of 1m 56.37s. The race was won by Japan's Emiko Kiyosawa in 1m 53.25s. Canadian Janelle Miller, who joined the New Zealand team this year, was fourth in 1m 57.74s. The men's race was won by American James Cochran with a combined time of 1m 35.02s.
