Last snowfall yesterday, 75cm-plus base on upper mountain. Conditions firm on trail, icy off trail. Weather for next four days partly forecast cloudy with some snow showers. Two of 12 lifts on main mountain working, all on beginners' slope working.
TUROA
65cm base, variable conditions on trail, icy off trail. Last fall June 13.
Snow expected end of next week.
Some lifts operational.
Free kids entertainment each pm for school hols.
Opening celebrations this weekend weather permitting.
MT HUTT
Firm packed snow on main trails, base of 50cm.
Lifts = all working on beginners, half on intermediate (5% advanced).
Weather expected to be clear, high cloud. Currently pretty mild with high cloud.
Most lifts operational.
School holidays kids programmes starting up.
CARDRONA
Best opening cover in 10 years with 30cm on lower field, 100cm on upper field. Firm base. New Magic Carpet lifts working well. All others working.
Settled weather expected to remain over next couple of days. Brief southerly change anticipated Friday, hopefully clearing for weekend.
CORONET PEAK
Spring snow with firm base on main trails, variable off piste. Upper field 60cm, lower 30cm.
Pretty fine, no snow forecast at this stage.
All lifts but one operating.
Snowdiators competition just started. Five skiers/snowboarders compete to see who has the most stamina. Whoever makes it to the fields the most days in a row wins an overseas holiday.
REMARKABLES
Groomed winter snow (80cm-100cm) on upper slopes, spring snow on lower (60cm).
Same weather as above (Coronet).
All facilities operating.
Tubing park for kids.
TREBLE CONE
Base 40cm, main basin 85cm, saddle basin 1.2m Snow firm and softening throughout day. Spring snow in main basin.
A likelihood of showers or snow, clearing Friday or Saturday. A fine weekend expected.
All lifts operational.
Orientation weekend rookie instructor academy. School holiday games/programmes.
