New Zealand motocross rider Levi Sherwood has picked up a silver medal on the final day of the X Games event in Austin.
Sherwood (22) was leading the Moto X QuarterPipe event after recording a score of 91.33 in the first round. He bettered it with 93.00 in the second round but was pipped by Frenchman Thomas Pages who scored 95.33 in the second and final round. Australia's John Sheehan was third.
It is the Palmerston North rider's third silver at the X Games after finishing second in the freestyle event in 2010 and 2012.
