A New Zealand father and son picked up gold and bronze as the New Zealand shooting team had a double-gold day at the Commonwealth Shooting Championships in Melbourne yesterday.
Auckland's Juliet Etherington won gold in the women's prone championship and Levin father and son Grant and Ryan Taylor won gold and bronze respectively in the men's 50m rifle prone championship on the sixth day of the event.
Grant Taylor's final total of 689.4 points was two ahead of Northern Ireland's Alan Loews.
Ryan Taylor picked up bronze one more point back on 686.4 to complete a unique double for the father and son combination who won gold earlier this week in the pairs.
Etherington finished three points ahead of England's Helen Spittles.
Manchester Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Etherington has now improved her ranking to number one in the Commonwealth.
