Seven new players were named in the New Zealand women's rugby team for their opening match of the tournament in Ottawa today.
Otago pair Kamila Wihongi and Shannon Willoughby, as well as Hawkes Bay's Marina Canterbury, will make their debut in the starting XV for the match against Scotland.
Another four uncapped players were named on the bench - Otago's Katie de Jong and Auckland trio Karina Penetito, Joan Sione and Huriana Manuel.
New Zealand's second match is against Canada next Wednesday.
