Sacked Wallabies winger Wendell Sailor has failed in his appeal against a two-year ban for cocaine use.
The Australian Rugby Union said its appeal process was over and the suspension would stand.
Sailor can appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
The former Waratahs winger and Brisbane Broncos rugby league player was tested after a Super 14 match against the ACT Brumbies on April 16.
The suspension means the dual international cannot play rugby union or rugby league anywhere in the world for the next two years.
