The Australian Rugby Union yesterday refused to comment amid speculation that a tribunal hearing into the Wendell Sailor drugs case had secretly opened in Sydney.
A three-man ARU committee reportedly considered evidence on Tuesday. Sailor tested positive to cocaine in a random sample in April.
He faces a mandatory two-year ban under the World Anti-Doping Agency code if found guilty of using a performance-enhancing substance.
