Logan re-launch

The Takapuna Rotary Club is looking after the celebrations surrounding the re-launch of the famous centreboard racer Jessie Logan. Totally restored, the yacht that helped to build the reputation of designer/builder Robert Logan will go back into the water exactly 121 years after she was first launched.

The venue is the Devonport Yacht Club, King Edward Parade, and the re-launch is at 6 pm on Wednesday, January 24. Everyone with an interest in our maritime history is welcome to attend.

Tickets are $15 and refreshments will be available. Inquiries to Ken Linkhorn, ph 09 489 4449. Jessie Logan is scheduled to be sailing at Mahurangi in the classic craft section of the Auckland Anniversary New Zealand Herald Regatta on Monday, January 29.
