Boardsailor Jon-Paul Tobin has posted successive wins to promote himself atop the class at the Sail for Gold yachting regatta in Britain.
The New Zealander was unstoppable as the regatta entered its second day overnight (NZT), leaving himself at the head of the 86-strong fleet off Weymouth, the venue for next year's Olympic Games sailing competitions.
Tobin has 10 points in the RS:X men's competition, three clear of Korean Taehoon Lee while Dutchman Dorian van Rijsselberge is third after also scoring two wins overnight.
New Zealand's reigning Olympic champion Tom Ashley registered two eighth placings in the latest racings to sit in sixth position overall.
Finn sailor Dan Slater continued to proser, backing up his first day win with another race victory and a 10th placing which saw him slip from first to third in the fleet behind Briton Ben Ainslie and Ivan Gaspic Kljkoviv, of Croatia.
The Star crew of Hamish Pepper and Craig Monk are fifth overall after finishing third and 10th in the latest races.
Andrew Murdoch advanced his cause in the Laser fleet, improving to sixth overall from 25th after finishing a full day's programme with placings of third, first and fourth.
