Team New Zealand blew off France's Areva Challenge and Spain's Desafio Espanol to record two more wins in the challenger series.
After days of insufficient wind, the breeze finally came to the party in Valencia.
With a win and a loss in their first two races, Emirates Team New Zealand sailed a solid race to beat Areva Challenge by 1 minute 55s which they backed up with an equally decisive 1m 12s win over Desafio Espanol.
Against Areva, Team New Zealand skipper Dean Barker started strongly on the left in a split tack start.
The left paid early dividends for Team New Zealand who were able to cross right over Areva and sail out to the favoured right hand side of the course.
Team New Zealand led by 34s lead at the top mark which they extended to 50s on the first run.
The Kiwis gained on the final lap to win by an impressive 1m 55s.
In their second match Team New Zealand's start didn't look quite so polished. In another split tack start the Spanish powering over slightly faster at the pin end with the Kiwis at the committee boat.
Little separated the two in the early part of the beat however the right came right for Team New Zealand who pushed ahead. At the top mark they led by 31 seconds. From there the Spanish never got themselves in a position to attack.
The upset of the day came when South Africa's Shosholoza tipped over Luna Rossa.
Luna Rossa failed to secure the favoured side of the course and didn't seem to have the speed to attack the South Africans.
The South Africans led around every mark winning by 36s.
Luna Rossa suffered a second loss to Chris Dickson's BMW Oracle Racing is what was the first big hitout of the regatta.
Little separated the two around the course. Dickson's team led by 8 seconds at the first mark, 9s at the gate and 15s at the weather mark.
Despite a late run from Luna Rossa, Oracle held on to win by 6 seconds.
Team New Zealand face Team Shosholoza and United internet Germany tonight.
