BMW Oracle are preparing to fire the next salvo in a row over the rules Alinghi have set for the 33rd America's Cup and try to prevent the case from heading to court next week.
BMW Oracle, who along with other challengers argued the rules gave the Swiss team an unfair advantage and too much power, are preparing a counter-proposal with their home Golden Gate Yacht Club against Alinghi.
If the two do not settle their differences, Oracle's case is due to be heard in a New York court on Monday. The legal process could then drag on for ages.
