KEY POINTS:
After four days of lost racing, the America's Cup challenger series format has been rejigged.
Yesterday flights one and two of the Louis Vuitton Cup, which were postponed on the opening day, were scheduled to be resailed.
The draw was then expected to return to the original today, with flights nine and 10 scheduled.
However, the competitors and race committee met yesterday and decided effectively to start round one again.
Now flights two and three are scheduled today, flights five and six on Monday and so on.
There may be no break in racing between round robins one and two and teams have said they will race almost right up to the semifinals to complete the round robins if need be.
Round two was set to finish on May 6, with May 7 as a reserve day.
The revised draw has it finishing on May 7, with May 8 as a reserve day. May 9 and 10 have also been set aside.
The semifinals of the Louis Vuitton Cup start on May 14.
The revised draw allows teams to change their boats or make changes to their boats if need be.
Emirates Team New Zealand were scheduled to have raced Mascalzone Latino overnight.
They meet +39 and Areva Challenge tonight. However, the outlook is not good, with many expecting the breeze to remain light until at least tomorrow.
Emirates Team New Zealand skipper Dean Barker said it was frustrating not to have raced.
"The disappointment is when you get a little bit of breeze everyone gets excited then the breeze starts petering out as fast as it builds."
Barker said a change of format wouldn't faze his team and he wasn't concerned about the programme becoming too compressed.
"I don't think there has ever been enough time in the schedule to develop between round one and two ... if you wanted to change boats or appendages you'd be hard pressed to get it done.
"I think you have always had to approach these round robins with your best foot forward or close to it to give yourselves a chance to go to the semifinals."
Revised Draw
Tonight
* Team New Zealand v +39 Challenge
* Areva Challenge v Team New Zealand
Tomorrow night
* Team New Zealand v Desafio Espanol
